It also made me question my sanity for a good while trying to understand the bizarre error I was suddenly getting (since 12.5b1〜12.5b4 all worked perfectly), until I realised that AppleScript as a whole was broken. ![]() It exists alongside the Always show Visor above Dock option (slightly renamed for clarity). This caused… many things, including TotalFinder, to stop working completely. tristinDLC I have implemented your requested Show Visor above other apps when pinned option ( name subject to change) in the upcoming TotalFinder 1.15.1. One thing of note that I noticed during my macOS 12.5 testing cycle is that… Apple actually accidentally broke AppleScript as a whole in one specific beta version of macOS 12.5 - specifically developer seed beta 5 21G5063a. (There generally aren’t any changes like that made this late towards the end of a macOS version’s lifecycle, though.) lost license, etc.) TotalFinder 1.15.1 for Apple Silicon and Intel macOS 13, 12, 11, and 10.15 Please note that TotalFinder is no longer officially supported by BinaryAge, and therefore bug fixes can be made only on a best-effort basis. I do try to test TotalFinder with each developer seed beta version of macOS released by Apple on a test machine I have just to see if there were any breaking changes. To give me more context please run this in Terminal.app: touch ~/.debug-totalfinder-injection I think this is unlikely, because I don’t se similar reports from other people. Maybe your system can get low on memory and macOS decides to kill Finder to free up more space. after the latest update, Apples Events cannot be delivered and Finder.app broken. It might be also related to to “Automatic Termination” or “Sudden Termination” of Finder.app by macOS. TotalFinder is not injected automatically in case of Finder.app crash or gracefull restart. I know that there are various things that the BinaryAge devs will need to look into with the new OS release, so I’m perfectly patient while waiting on a fix. trying to install its own extension/tweak. My wild guess is that some other software is restarting Finder.app gracefully. El Capitan GM update: TotalFinder 1.7.9 has support for OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) (10.11.1-15B30a), but due to System Integrity Protection it wont launch without a system tweak.
